Teachers first needed opportunities to self-reflect and build confidence in a safe, structured environment before engaging in meaningful collaboration.
The Solution
Dr. Bolden emphasized self-reflection as the foundation of teacher development. Using Sibme, teachers privately reviewed their instruction with reflective questions, strengthening their skills and confidence. As self-efficacy grew, they transitioned to peer feedback, sharing annotated video reflections in Collaboration Huddles to refine strategies. After 18 months, Goodman Elementary expanded Sibme to vertical alignment teams, fostering instructional continuity and student success.
The Results
Teachers using Sibme’s self-reflection and feedback tools showed the most significant growth in confidence and instructional effectiveness. Dr. Bolden noted, “Their confidence just went through the roof.” After 18 months, Goodman Elementary saw a 24% increase on universal screeners among students taught by teachers who actively engaged in self-reflection and collaboration through Sibme.
